He holds duty to Aeolia Schenberg's (and, as a result, Veda's) plan to be the most important thing, and anyone who deviates from the plan, shows an unwillingness to do things properly, or basically does not do something exactly as specified is “unfit” or “unworthy” of their station. His fellow Gundam Meisters are no exceptions to this, and he possibly holds them to an even stricter standard than the rest of the crew, since they are so instrumental in uniting humanity and eliminating war. Later on in season 1, after Lockon Stratos protects him from an attack, he starts to grow a bit attached to him, though if he had any feelings besides gratitude he would never, ever admit it. Ever. Still, he was visibly upset once Lockon was killed, and decided to change. After the battle with the UN forces, he was rescued, and as the only currently active Celestial Being Gundam Meister it's likely that he took on even more responsibility. Once the group was put back together, he seemed to soften very slightly, though he still retained his formal attitude and devotion to duty. He continues to scold those who go against mission plans or who reveal things to the enemy. After being revealed to be an Innovator (or rather, Innovade), he hides the so-called 'true' plan from the rest of Celestial Being, as he's conflicted as to whether he should continue with CB or work with the Innovators, as he really didn't know what he was. However, after meeting with Ribbons Almark and the Innovators continue to cause conflict, he decides that his loyalty is with Celestial Being, and his dedication is renewed. As the series continues, he grows more and more attached to humanity, and starts to consider himself human, despite whatever he may actually be. He even goes so far as to further Celestial Being's progress in recovering Veda by confronting Ribbons Almark personally, and attempting to link to Veda in his last moments.
